The Fool, El Loco-Tarot,
THE MINER’S DREAM

Does someone has ever daydreamed, thinking intensely that it is possible to make a fortune by discovering, exploring and exploiting a mine?. Surely some miners have had this dream.
As gambling, mining is full of betting and much is due to the obsessive tendency of human nature to beat the game to our fate while we are in this world which we came without asking for and we leave without wishing. Some resort to a God, thinking he is at their service for granting them exceptional personal favors, most of the time with no merit.
In the special case of precious metals, his quest is like a virus that rampantly attacks to those dreamers and gives them a cruel fever that like “The Fool” of Tarot, makes them wandering everywhere, regardless of the difficulties, dangers, and mental mirages and obstacles.Many remain on the way and other get lost on hidden paths to others, or simply lose their reason.
As rightly said Georgious Agricola, the German wise, author of the famous first book on mining and metallurgy, in his book "De Re Metallica" in 1556, ... "The miner must have great skill in their work so that first of all, has to know everything the mountain, hill, valley or plain can be more useful prospected or what to put aside "(1).

EL SUEÑO DE LOS MINEROS

Quien no ha soñado despierto alguna vez, imaginando intensamente que es posible hacer fortuna descubriendo, explorando y explotando una mina ?. Con seguridad algunos mineros habrán tenido este sueño.
Como el juego, la minería esta llena de azahar y en mucho se debe a la obsesiva tendencia de la naturaleza humana de ganarle la partida al destino mientras estamos en este mundo al que venimos sin pedirlo y nos vamos sin desearlo. Algunos recurren a un Dios pensando que está a su servicio para que les conceda excepcionales favores personales, la mayor de las veces sin merecerlo.
En el caso especial de los metales preciosos, su búsqueda es como un virus que ataca en forma galopante a los soñadores y les provoca una cruenta fiebre que como el loco del Tarot los hace caminar por doquier sin reparar en las dificultades, peligros y espejismos que se interponen en su camino. Muchos se quedan en la búsqueda y otros se pierden por caminos ocultos para los demás, o simplemente pierden la razón.
Como bien decía Geórgious Agrícola el sabio alemán, autor del famoso primer libro de minería y metalurgia, en su libro “De Re Metallica” en 1556; … “ El minero debe tener gran habilidad en su trabajo para que primero que todo, conozca todo lo que la montaña, colina, valle o planicie pueda ser prospectado con mayor utilidad o lo que debe dejar a un lado” (1).
